Why enroll your child in Nursery School?
Exposure to early education can have tremendous benefits in the long term development of a child. Nursery schools help children build a solid foundation for academic, social, emotional and physical development.
Where is this Nursery School located?
Strong Academy located at 301 14th Street Buffalo, NY 14213 has 4 dedicated classrooms for our Nursery age students. There is currently one classroom per grade level with no more than 12 students in a classroom at a time. Our classrooms have sufficient space to accommodate for 6 feet of distance between students and staff. Our space is located in the same building as our Homeschool Co-Op and Drop In School programs.
When will Nursery School be in session?
September 14th will be the first day of school. Classes will run form Monday- Friday from 9:00am to 2:45pm daily.
Students can attend everyday or on a part time schedule.
Our 2 year old program only runs for a half day (9am-12pm).
Our 3-5 year old programs run full day (9am to 2:45pm), but parents can choose a half day schedule if they so prefer.

Who is eligible to enroll in the Nursery School?
This program is open for students age 2-5.
If you are in need of child care for older students, please see the Homeschool Co-Op and Drop in School programs we have available.
Students with IEP’s who receive therapy services are welcome to have their tele-therapy services be conducted on our campus. We have break out rooms for students to be able to engage in these virtual meetings one-on-one with their therapist. One of our staff members will be there too to ensure things go smoothly from the tech side of things and to provide in person supervision. We are also open to hosting in-person therapy visits and do prefer this method of therapy if at all possible.
What does the Nursery School program teach?
ACADEMIC
Students are introduced to the building blocks of academics throughout their time with Strong Academy’s Nursery School. The specific learning standards are different for each age level.
Broad subjects covered across all age levels include:
Math (number recognition, counting out loud, one to one correspondence)
English Language Arts (letter recognition, saying the A,B,C’s out loud, letter sounds, story time)
Science (comparing and contrasting, colors, weather, body parts, senses, proper hygiene)
Social Studies and History (Holiday’s, community helpers)
Spanish (most of the above subjects are introduced in Spanish throughout the day as well)
EXTRA CURRICULAR
We value educating the whole person at Strong Academy. In addition to academics, other key areas of focus throughout each day at Strong will be:
Physical Activity (indoor and outdoor)
Spiritual Formation (Bible study and worship time)
Home Economics (basic housekeeping chores, building meaningful relationships)
Creative Expression (painting, singing, dancing, playing instruments)
Students are expected to have eaten breakfast at home before arriving to school. There will be a break daily from 11:30am to 12:00pm for lunch and another break at 2:00pm for snack. Students are expected to bring their own lunch and snack daily. Strong Academy will provide refrigeration for food that need to be kept cool. We will also provide a microwave for food that needs to be warmed up.

Students must be pre-registered. We have a limited capacity (12 students per age level), so it is of utmost importance for parents who wish to enroll their child in this program do so ASAP! You can register your child using the link below.
